You reach the US preclearance hall early, with your bags already checked and time in hand — which is the whole point of booking the departure. The checkpoint itself is federal, run by US Customs and Border Protection, so you walk that stage yourself.

Questions people ask before booking
Do you clear US customs in Nassau?
Yes. Lynden Pindling has a US Customs and Border Protection preclearance facility, so US-bound passengers clear American immigration and customs here, before boarding, and land as domestic arrivals. It is a full border crossing on top of check-in and security — which is what the departure packages are for.
Does Nassau airport have TSA PreCheck, Global Entry or CLEAR?
They do not help with the part that takes the time. None of them apply on arrival into the Bahamas, which is Bahamian immigration and customs, and none of them handle your check-in, your bags, or getting you across three terminals. TSA PreCheck, Global Entry, Mobile Passport Control and APC kiosks are available in the US preclearance hall on departure, and worth having, but they are a different thing from what we do.
How early should I get to Nassau airport?
The airport advises three hours for international departures, two for domestic. With a departure package that time is spent differently: check-in and bags are handled, you move through security quickly, and you wait in the lounge rather than a line.
How much is Nassau airport fast track?

Is transportation to Atlantis or Baha Mar included?
Not in the fast track rate, but we arrange it and about one in four Nassau bookings adds it — most Cable Beach, Baha Mar and Paradise Island hotels do not bundle a transfer. Add it in the form and your driver meets you at the same exit as your greeter.
Is the VIP lounge open?
Yes. Both of LPIA's Lignum Club lounges are being upgraded and the US Departures one is in a temporary space, but access on departure packages is unaffected. On a very early flight, send us your flight number and we will confirm opening times.
What if my flight is delayed or changed?
We track the flight number on your booking and move with it. Tell us as soon as you know and we will re-time the service.
